Vincennes University is being recognized for it excellence in preparing future educators.
The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) has announced VU earned accreditation for its educator preparation program.
The recognition puts VU in a group of less than 60 schools nationwide to earn the approval.
VU Education Department Chair and Associate Professor Ann Herman says the honor is proof of the high standards VU sets for the program, which prepares students to succeed in a diverse range of classrooms after they graduate.
And while the honor is one Herman is proud of, she says the Education Department will continue to work towards providing top-notch education for the teachers of tomorrow.
